CHICAGO — Four young women were attacked and robbed in the city's Lincoln Park neighborhood.The incident happened around 12:10 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of West Webster. Police said three 18-year-old women and a 21-year-old woman were approached by two men who implied weapons and demanded their belongings. According to police, one of the men struck the 21-year-old woman in the face. An 18-year-old woman attempted to run but fell to the ground, and one of the men grabbed her buttocks, police said.The men took the women's personal property and fled westbound.Police said the women declined medical assistance. CHICAGO — A 28-year-old woman is missing after she was headed to a store, CPD said.Victoria Rodriguez was last seen by her family on Monday night in the 1400 block of North Oakley Avenue.Police said she was headed to a store in the vicinity of North and Western. CPD did not indicate which store it was.Rodriguez has brown eyes and brown hair with green coloring on the lower ends of her hair. MANLIUS, N.Y. (WSYR) – Faye, a beloved swan who lived in an Upstate New York pond, was killed and eaten over Memorial Day weekend, police say.Police in Manlius, New York, were notified Monday that Faye and her babies, or cygnets, had gone missing from the Manlius Swan Pond. Officers later received several tips from the community and found two of the babies at the Shop City Plaza shopping center. Additional information helped police find the two other babies at a home in Syracuse.Faye, however, had been killed and eaten, they said. Police ultimately arrested three teenagers, a 16-, 17- and 18-year-old, each of whom was charged with grand larceny, criminal mischief, conspiracy and criminal trespassing. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation Wednesday night to suspend the debt ceiling.The bill, negotiated by President Joe Biden and Speaker Kevin McCarthy, passed by a vote of 314-117. AUSTIN (KXAN) — Meteorological summer (June, July, August) brings us the three warmest months of the year. Astronomical summer, which is designated by the Earth's position relative to the sun, falls on June 21. Our partners over at Climate Central found that Austin and the vast majority of cities across the country are experiencing warming summers. In fact, out of 247 locations across the country that they analyzed, 229 of them are experiencing an average warming of 2.4°F since 1970. That comes out to a whopping 93% of locations analyzed experiencing this warming. More impressively, a third of these locations warmed at least 3.0°F or more during the summer months since 1970.Not only are cities in the summer warming as a whole, but they are also experiencing more and more days above their average summer-time high temperatures.
