(KTLA) -- Passengers aboard an Alaska Airlines flight that landed at California's John Wayne Airport late Sunday evening had to deplane on the taxiway after the plane sustained damage to its landing gear.The flight landed at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana around 11:30 p.m., and the crew of the Boeing 737 reported issues with the plane's landing gear as it was taxiing to the gate. MOORESVILLE, N.C. (WJZY) – One person was killed and another injured in an apparent explosion overnight that leveled a multimillion-dollar home in North Carolina owned by NFL cornerback Caleb Farley, said emergency officials.Authorities confirmed with Nexstar's WJZY that both victims were male. Their identities were being withheld pending family notification.The injured person was transported to Atrium Health Main with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Kent Greene, director of Fire Services and Emergency Management for Iredell.The 6,500-plus-square-foot house, located in Mooresville just off Lake Norman, was mostly reduced to rubble as of Tuesday morning. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Tropical Storm Harold officially formed in the western Gulf early Tuesday morning -- the ninth storm of the Atlantic hurricane season. The system currently has 45 mph sustained winds and is racing west/northwest at 18 mph. Harold made landfall shortly before 10 am along Padre Island, south of Corpus Christi with 50 mph sustained winds.Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for the Texas coast from Port O'Connor southward to the mouth of the Rio Grande. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect from Port O'Connor north to Sargent. Coastal Flood Warnings are also in place for affected areas.Only minor wind damage is expected along the coast, along with 1-3 feet of "storm surge" ocean level rise.
