ST. LOUIS -- A major Missouri marijuana manufacturer is having its license revoked. Regulators say that Delta Extraction was using out-of-state cannabis and violating other rules.Missouri recalled more than 60,000 marijuana products sold in dispensaries by the company in August. No one has reported any adverse reactions to the products. But, regulators are likely more concerned about businesses following the rules outlined in the state constitution. Amy Moore, director of the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation, stated, “Businesses that choose to participate in Missouri’s marijuana industry do not get to decide which rules and which parts of Article XIV they want to follow.” Ex-St. Louis postal worker admits to depositing checks from stolen mail A suspension order was issued this August. The Colorado high school football season is down to its final three weekends. With eight teams left in each of the state’s three largest classifications, here’s a preview of what to look for:Class 5ANo. 8 Mountain Vista (9-2) at No. 1 Cherry Creek (11-0), 7 p.m. Friday: It’s been three months since a defense kept the Golden Eagles under 34 points. Published Mon, 23 Dec 2024 17:39:52 GMT
El Niño is back and, if forecasts are accurate, it should deliver above-normal temperatures and above-normal rain and snow to California. After years of back-to-back La Niña conditions, this winter will be the first in five years with an El Niño pattern in place. The last time we saw El Niño was in the winter of 2018 to 2019, and even that year's impact was substantially weaker than what we're seeing now. During an El Niño winter, the southern third to half of the United States, including California, tends to see wetter weather. (Exactly where that dividing line falls varies from year to year.)Meanwhile, the Pacific Northwest and parts of the Ohio Valley tend to be dry and warm. Hawaii also often sees below-average rain during an El Niño year. El Niño officially arrives early: What it means for California La Niña is basically the opposite: less rain or snow for the southern half of the country, and colder, wetter conditions in the Pacific Northwest. The influence of El Niño shows u...HEADING TO VEGAS for Formula 1 Weekend? Advancements in agriculture have moved at a slower pace than many other industries. Growers have traditionally taken their cues from nature, and when everyone else is doing it, or they are forced to, they finally evolve and adopt new technologies and better practices. One historic example was the advancement of machines over horses and mules. Many farmers avoided this change for years even though the animals consumed over 20% of the crops they helped cultivate and took twenty times longer to plant. But, by replacing horses with tractors, over time, they were able to raise their yields significantly and wondered why they didn’t do it sooner.Another example is irrigation. Year after year, farmers were at the mercy of Mother Nature. But rather than forward-thinking, it took severe droughts before they were convinced to adopt more reliable ways to get water to crops. The resistance to mechanical irrigation and other solutions has mirrored the farming industry’s hesitance to change ...Latest news
