Police in the District say they have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman in Southeast, D.C., early Sunday morning.In a news release, police said officers responding to reports of a shooting on the 4000 block of 13th Street found 52-year-old Patricia Johnson of Southeast, D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds in her residence. DENVER (AP) — Veteran outfielder Charlie Blackmon can earn $2 million in performance bonuses as part of his 2024 contract with the Colorado Rockies, which would raise his pay to $15 million.Blackmon could earn the bonuses based on plate appearances: $500,000 each for 425, 450, 475 and 500. Two laws aimed at preventing gun violence took effect Oct. 1, but both are also sparking some controversy. What Colorado laws go into effect in October? SB23-168 ends certain legal protections for the firearm industry in the case of a defect in design or manufacture. Rep. Monday marks the beginning of the final two weeks of prime leaf peeping, which draws thousands of drivers to mountain areas along Interstate 70.“We left Connecticut for this,” new resident John told FOX31. DENVER (KDVR) -- Crews were searching for a person who went missing in the Chatfield Reservoir Sunday afternoon.South Metro Fire Rescue told FOX31 that an adult paddleboarder was missing in the water. Multiple crews were on the scene diving and using drones to help search the area.
