(KTLA) – After years of battling health problems, former Smash Mouth front man Steve Harwell died, the band confirmed Monday. He was 56 years old.Harwell’s manager told TMZ that the singer had suffered from alcohol abuse for years and that he had reached the final stages of liver failure, which he had recently been receiving treatment for. After being place in hospice care at his Boise, Idaho, home, Harwell died surrounded by loved ones, band manager Robert Hayes told Rolling Stone. DENVER (KDVR) -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection to a deadly shooting in the Del Mar Park neighborhood in Aurora last month, the Aurora Police Department said in a press release.He was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery stemming from a drive-by shooting in the 900 block of Paris Street on Aug. 23.On that day, APD said a 49-year-old man and his son woke up to find two people stealing scooters in their backyard. A Dorchester man who had been arrested on gun charges after the Caribbean Festival mass shooting last week is now accused of shooting six of the eight victims, according to Boston Police.Gerald Vick, 30, had been arrested near the annual J’ouvert Parade, part of Boston’s Caribbean Festival, following the gunfire on Saturday morning, Aug. 26.When Boston Police officers took Vick into custody, officers found a 9mm pistol with a large capacity magazine — equipped with a “Glock switch” that enables the gun to fire continuously.
