Driver dead after rollover crash in unincorporated Plato Township UNINCORPORATED PLATO TOWNSHIP, Ill. — A driver is dead after a rollover crash in unincorporated Plato Township Sunday night. The victim was identified as 56-year-old Kimberly Roddan.According to police, the driver of the Buick was traveling eastbound on Plank Road near the 40W200 block when it left the roadway towards the shoulder. The vehicle crossed into westbound traffic, leaving the roadway again onto the North side of Plank Road. 18-year-old man shot while attempting to break into business on North Side The Buick rolled over several times before coming to a stop. Kane County Sherrif's office are still investigating the incident. It is still unknown by police if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.Editor's Note: Kane County police told WGN three people were deceased. At 10:30 a.m. they sent a correction that only one person died.

Ascension Seton invests $280M to revamp, expand Dell Seton Medical Center AUSTIN (KXAN) — Ascension Seton is allocating $280 million to expand and revamp the Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas at Austin, hospital representatives announced in a release Monday.Currently, Dell Seton Medical Center serves as the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. Under the expansion, Ascension Seton officials said the center will add 150 beds and more than 160,000 square feet to the facility. St. Paul agrees to settle street maintenance lawsuits with 200 plaintiffs for $634,000 The city of St. Paul will pay out more than $634,000 to settle a series of lawsuits filed by roughly 200 plaintiffs seeking reimbursement of their street maintenance fees.The lawsuits, grouped into six major claims, were filed by two attorneys, the late Jack Hoeschler and Ferdinand Peters, who assumed Hoeschler’s clients following his illness. (NEWS10) -- The Sons of the American Legion Blanchard-Currey Post 1040 and the Bethlehem Memorial VFW Auxiliary Post 3185 will have their first 5K run and two-mile walk on Sunday, May 28. The run will start at 9 a.m., with the walk at 10:30 a.m., and the start and finish lines at the American Legion, located at 16 W Poplar Drive in Delmar. Police recover 14 handguns in Hudson Falls burglary HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile following a reported burglary at Calamity Janes Firearms and Fine Shoes early Monday morning. Police say a burglar alarm at the store went off around 1:52 a.m. Responding units from the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Hudson Falls Police Department observed the suspect fleeing on foot. Police caught the suspect on Feeder Street. Investigations determined that the suspect forced their way into the store by breaking a front window. Police say there were several broken display cases. Fourteen handguns and various boxes of ammunition were recovered. Investigations into the burglary are ongoing.
