A 41-year-old man facing a weapons charge in federal court is being held without bond after a judge ruled that he’s a flight risk and a community threat.Chad Edward Keith, who is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, allegedly had ten firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition at his Colorado Springs home, according to a criminal complaint against him.The complaint, filed by an FBI investigator assigned to a Joint Terrorism Task Force, claims that Keith is a white supremacist and a Nazi with plans of operating a “white private community” school for teenagers, on a 2.6-acre property he owns near Cotopaxi that would include “hard core weapons training” and an “anti-Semitic curriculum.”In 2003, Keith pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of possessing an unregistered firearm — a destructive device. He was sentenced to 48 months in prison. The current complaint is based, in part, on information from a paid FBI informant who met Keith in May 2022.Among the...5 Napa, Sonoma, Bay Area wineries worth an all-day visit

There was a time when winery visits consisted of sipping a flight in a crowded tasting room, then scurrying off to the next three or four wineries for a repeat experience. But these days, many wineries offer an entire array of temptations – from bocce courts and cabanas to food trucks, jeep tours, cave experiences and more – all designed to pair nicely with that bubbly, crisp sauv blanc or hearty zin, and encourage people to relax and spend the entire day at one winery.More and more vineyards now invite families to visit, touting their kid and dog-friendly grounds, complete with ice cream, wood-fired pizza and chicken feeding activities.Whether it’s doing vinyasa in the vines, sipping chardonnay atop the dusty seat of an all-terrain vehicle or riding horseback on secluded mountain trails, these experiences can all be found at wineries in Napa Valley, Sonoma, Livermore and the Santa Cruz Mountains.Bricoleur VineyardsTucked away on the outskirts of suburban Windsor, this winery is a s...Napa Valley: Do a brunch and wine pairing at one of Napa’s newest tasting rooms

Wine pairings in Napa aren’t hard to come by. With more than 450 wineries in the region, you’ll find a tasting room just about anywhere you go. But a breakfast wine pairing? Now, that’s a rarity.Winemaker Gabrielle O’Connell from O’Connell Family Wines, which includes the Gabrielle Collection and Pietro Family Cellars labels, first began offering breakfast pairings at her now-shuttered tasting room in downtown Napa. Now she’s doing brunch pairings at Feast it Forward, a winery collective space next to Napa’s Oxbow Public Market.“I thought (the pairings) would be fun,” O’Connell says. “It’s something different.”The pairings ($75) offer vinophiles the chance to get a brunch-y start to their day in Napa with a menu that highlights fresh, organic fare from the winery’s estate garden and local farmers markets. Four wines are served with seasonal tartines offering combinations such as Pietro Family Cellars chardonnay and avocado toast, topped with caramelize...Review: ‘Diablo IV’ has the bones to be a never-ending story

No one ever finishes a video game anymore. The way projects are made and planned out, players can never be really done with an adventure. Games, especially those made by Blizzard, are entities that change and evolve over time. You don’t complete Blizzard games, you live with them for however long the content interests you or your wallet allows. That’s what fans will face with “Diablo IV.” It’s an enormous game that takes the franchise’s signature hack-and-slash dungeon dives and envisions them in an open world. The Sanctuary that players step into is expansive and traveling through it is seamless as players explore the continent through the campaign’s six chapters.THE STORY SO FAR …In a way, this entry is almost like a reboot. It starts 50 years after the explosive finale of “Diablo III,” and in a way, it serves as a clean slate telling a new chapter, one in which the title villain takes back seat to the new big bad — ...Frontier Airlines hits turbulence, ranked last in U.S. amid rancor around flights

Denver-based Frontier Airlines has hit more turbulence for troubles that, despite relatively low fares, have shaken relations with travelers.A new analysis of the nation’s 10 major airlines ranked Frontier last, citing high rates of “bumping” passengers involuntarily off flights, customer complaints, and fees for bags and changed flights. This seventh-annual report found that all airlines deteriorated in their performance with overall complaints increasing in 2022 by 87%. But Frontier’s reported data from 2022 showed that company gate agents denied boarding for more than 6,000 passengers against their wishes, an average of more than 16 every day and roughly 1 out of every 3,752 travelers, according to the report by “The Points Guy,” a travel information website. And Frontier led also in the rate of complaints with 22.6 for every 100,000 travelers in 2022 — more than twice the number of complaints reported by Spirit, the second-to-last carrier in that category.Atlanta-based Delta Air...Bob Myers reportedly stepping down as Warriors GM

PARIS (AP) — Daniil Medvedev was seeded No. 2 at the French Open. Coming off a clay-court title a little more than a week ago, too. Plus, he already owns one Grand Slam trophy and was a finalist three other times. And his opponent Tuesday in the first round at Roland Garros? Well, Thiago Seybolt Wild, a 23-year-old from Brazil, is ranked just 172nd and was playing only his second match in the main draw of any major tournament. He needed to win three matches in qualifying rounds last week just to make it into the men’s bracket — something he’d failed to do on eight previous attempts at Slams.Sometimes, the numbers just don’t matter. Nor does past experience. The winner of a tennis match tends to be whoever was better that day, no matter how surprising that might be.Seybolt Wild looked very much like he belonged on Court Philippe Chatrier, hitting big forehands and keeping his nerve down the stretch to oust Medvedev 7-6 (5), 6-7 (8), 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.“I mean, I’ve watched Daniil play for ...Latest news
