GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - On Wednesday morning, the majority of Warren and Washington counties were in better shape following 8 to 16 inches of snowfall that came down across the region starting late Monday night. The one significant exception was in Stony Creek. West of Lake George and north of Lake Luzerne, the mountainous region had 719 customers without power as of Wednesday. Lake Luzerne had another 271 still waiting for power to come back on."Stony Creek in particular is a big mess," said Warren County Communications Director Don Lehman. "Supposedly there's 36 inches of snow out there. WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Washington County among other counties are still monitoring the number of power outages due to downed trees, wires and accidents. Washington County is providing bottled water and dry ice to those still without power as well as activating warming stations. National Grid and NYSEG customers without power in Washington County can collect bottled water and dry ice from distribution points. National Grid customers can go to the Argyle Fire Department, 5072 State Route 40 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For NYSEG customers they can go to Hebron Fire Hall, 3165 County Route 30 from 11 a.m. Along with the distribution of bottled water and dry ice, Washington County has activated the following warming centers. EPHRATAH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Ephratah woman was arrested and is accused of falsely reporting a child sex abuse incident, according to New York State Police. Gina Emden, 34, was arrested on Wednesday, March 8, after a lengthy investigation. Get all of the latest news, weather, sports, and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Police say on February 14, around 9:32 p.m., they responded to an Ephratah home for a reported domestic dispute. Police say Emden alleged an adult she knew was sexually abusing children. Through an investigation with the Fulton County Child Protective Services, police say no indication of abuse was found. Police say they determined Emden's allegations were knowingly baseless and later attempted to withdraw her report. Emden was arrested and processed at Mayfield State Police. JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On March 29, Fulton County Public Health is hosting a clinic to provide pets with rabies vaccinations. The clinic will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on March 29 at 2714 State Highway 29 at the County Services Complex building behind the Public Health building. BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Ballston Spa High School Science Olympiad team is headed to the New York State competition.
