Originally a Philadelphia Eagles fan, she was spotted representing red all over. Swift's appearance broke the internet, sparking skyrocketing sales for Kelce apparel. According to sportswear and fan merchandise company Fanatics, Kelce was one of the top-selling NFL players on Sunday. Authorities responded to a situation in Southwest Miami-Dade after a tractor trailer jackknifed on Krome Avenue, Tuesday morning. Live video footage of the scene showed the majority of the road blocked off as traffic careened onto one lane to get around the semi-truck. Police blocked off the road as it became a hazmat situation when diesel spilled on the street. It remains unclear how the 18-wheeler ended up in the jackknife position, but authorities are clearing the scene with precautions to morning commuters. Anyone traveling north on Krome Avenue should expect delays as they approach Southwest 216th Street.BETTER WEATHER FOR SOFLA

Happy Tuesday, South Florida!Hopefully everyone had a good start to the week. A weak front pushed through South Florida on Monday and brought more showers and thunderstorms with it. After almost over a week of tracking this slow-moving front drifting south across Florida, we can say that the front has finally moved on. I’m sure many noticed a slight difference in the weather late Monday afternoon as the skies finally cleared and the wind began to pick up. And even though South Florida woke up to a few showers this morning (especially offshore), it sure did feel slightly less humid. More importantly, the long anticipated drier air has finally moved in!Overall, today South Florida can expect an improvement weather-wise compared to what we have seen in the past week. Partly sunny skies will give way to moments of sunshine and some dry time throughout the day. However, it won’t be completely dry as a brisk Northeast breeze could still tap in to some moisture and drag in a shower from t...Spain’s king asks Pedro Sánchez to form government

Spanish King Felipe VI on Tuesday ordered caretaker Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to attempt to form a government.Sánchez’s Socialist Party came second in July’s inconclusive national election, in which the center-right Popular Party won the most votes. Conservative leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo attempted to form a government but last week failed to obtain the majority support of the Spanish parliament needed to become prime minister.Socialist leader Sánchez, who has governed Spain since he led a successful no-confidence vote against conservative Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy in 2018, does not control enough seats in the parliament to govern on his own and will need to obtain the support of a slew of far-left and separatist parties in order to remain in power.Sánchez is widely expected to attempt to form a minority government with Yolanda Díaz’s far-left Sumar coalition, a successor of the Podemos party with which the Socialists governed during the previous legisl...Turkey arrests dozens of suspected Kurdish militants after Ankara suicide bombing

MANCHESTER, England — Watch out Tory leadership hopefuls, there’s another culture warrior in town.Gracing the main stage at the Conservative Party conference on Tuesday, the U.K.’s Science and Tech Secretary Michelle Donelan vowed to crackdown on the “creeping wokeism” she said is threatening scientific research.“We are the party of facts, we are the party of evidence, we are the party of scientific rigor, and I will stand up for these core values. But increasingly, thanks to the slow creep of wokeism, this guiding light that Thatcher referred to is under attack,” said Donelan, referring to a speech by former Prime Minister and Tory icon Margaret Thatcher to the United Nations in 1989, where she said scientific research must be used to “cast a light ahead, so that we can move step by step in the right direction.”Donelan said she would be launching a review of the use of gender and sex questions in scientific research and statistics, and would produce guidance within six months.“Keir...Latest news
