Virginia By Kristina Sgueglia and Eric Levenson | CNNA CSX freight train derailed Wednesday morning after striking a rockslide in a remote area of West Virginia, injuring three crew members and spilling diesel fuel into a nearby river, according to a company press release.The three crew members were in the locomotive, which caught fire after the derailment, and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries, CSX said. Two were airlifted and the third was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, a Summers County Office of Emergency Management dispatcher told CNN.Diesel fuel and oil spilled into the New River, and containment measures will be deployed, CSX said. The company also noted that the coal train was empty and was not transporting hazardous materials. NHTSA probing 16 deadly Tesla highway crashes WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KRON) -- A deadly crash involving a Tesla on Insterstate-680 in Contra Costa County is the latest wreck being investigated by national transportation officials. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Wednesday that it suspects the Tesla was operating with its automated driving system on when it slammed into a fire engine on I-680 in Walnut Creek on February 18.A Contra Costa County Fire Protection District engine was being used as a traffic safety barrier to protect paramedics working at a previous crash when the Tesla slammed into the engine. The 2014 Tesla Model S's driver was killed, a Tesla passenger was severely injured, and four firefighters suffered minor injuries. The February 18 collision is one of 51 crashes nationwide -- including 16 fatalities -- currently under investigation by the NHTSA's special crash investigation teams. (AP) — A bill that would have prohibited minors from getting married in West Virginia was defeated Wednesday night in a legislative committee.The Republican-dominated Senate Judiciary Committee rejected the bill on a 9-8 vote, a week after it passed the House of Delegates.The vote came shortly after the bill’s main sponsor, Democratic Del.
