Published Wed, 19 Feb 2025 20:49:18 GMT

The Los Angeles Chargers’ offense showed signs of improvement during the season opener in the areas coach Brandon Staley pointed to throughout the offseason. The same can’t be said about Staley’s defense. Many of the deficiencies that have plagued the Chargers’ defense were laid bare again in Sunday’s 36-34 loss to the Miami Dolphins.Giving up a ton of points? Check. It was the seventh time since Staley’s arrival in 2021 that Los Angeles has allowed at least 35 points, tied for second most in the league.Inability to get off the field on third-and-long? Check. The Dolphins converted three of six opportunities when they faced third down with more than 6 yards to go. LA PAZ, Bolivia (AP) — Lionel Messi skipped Argentina’s last practice session on the eve of a World Cup qualifying match in Bolivia. The 36-year-old Inter Miami striker left Argentina’s match against Ecuador late last week complaining of fatigue, which could impact coach Lionel Scaloni’s selections for Tuesday’s match in challenging conditions at La Paz’ altitude of 3,000 meters.Scaloni told a news conference Sunday that he could leave a decision on Messi until a few hours before the match.During Monday’s training, Messi sat on a chair close to Scaloni and watched his teammates practice. He spoke to the coach as other players tried to adapt to the altitude and the quicker speed of the ball, which is a characteristic that makes it so hard for visitors to win at Bolivia.Scaloni gave no hints at the practice session on what he will do if Messi doesn’t play at the Hernando Siles Stadium against a team that was battered 5-1 by Brazil last week in ...

They include Ingrid Vilorio, who works at a Jack In The Box in the San Francisco Bay Area. She said the raise will help her family, who until recen...
