DENVER (KDVR) -- The Boulder Police Department kicked off a new texting service on Monday called ‘Power Engage.'The program is aimed at helping the department better connect with the community.‘Power Engage’ will work in a couple of ways. Airport cargo employees to rally at DIA due to safety concerns First, the service will provide important information to anyone who calls 9-1-1.For example, if you’re in a minor crash, the system will send you a text saying police are on the way, stay off the road and other pertinent information you may need at the scene.Secondly, anyone who calls 9-1-1 will get a follow-up call within six hours. Rapper Rich the Kid, also known as Dimitri Roger, was arrested early Monday morning in Miami Beach for resisting an officer without violence and trespassing property after being given a warning. According to the arrest report, Roger approached a secured perimeter at the intersection of 17th Street and James Avenue and said he had to get to his hotel. Officers told him that he could not cross the tape because there was an ongoing investigation due to a bomb threat. Roger reportedly responded to the officer’s warnings by saying “I’ll bond out in 20 minutes,” according to the report. He then crossed under the police tape at the southeast corner. Police again warned him that he cannot cross into the property. Roger walked away from officers and went to the rear of the property where he was stopped by the security staff who also told him he cannot enter the property. Wilton Manors Police responded to an incident involving an injured adult female discovered on the street. The woman was found shortly after 4 a.m., Monday, near West Oakland Park Boulevard and Northwest Ninth Avenue. She was transported to an area hospital, where she is currently listed in critical condition. Concerned about the circumstances surrounding the incident, Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit detectives have been called in to lead the active investigation.Authorities have yet to disclose the nature and extent of the woman’s injuries or the events leading up to her being found on the roadway.
