(KRON) -- The annual Portal Music Festival draws thousands of people every year to Pier 80 in San Francisco. However, there are some who are in opposition to the popular 21 and over event continuing in the future. Alameda is formally requesting the Portola Music Festival be either discontinued or moved to a different venue farther away, the city announced this week in a Facebook post. The city cites "significant noise complaints" as a reason for the request. Although the two-day festival itself does not take place in Alameda, officials have received noise complaints from Alameda residents. This year, the event took place on Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1 -- ending at 11 p.m. both days. PARIS (AP) — The low-down on Peter O’Mahony is he’s a dream to play with and a nightmare to play against. He’s an old school, heart-on-the-sleeve type, who’s beloved in the Ireland setup. But when the same teammates cross him in provincial games, there’s no love lost.“As an opponent he was a nightmare, as a teammate the best,” former Ireland captain and Ulsterman Rory Best said. Present teammate and Leinsterman James Lowe can vouch for that: ”You definitely hate to play against him but love to have him in your team.”O’Mahony follows Best to 100 tests for Ireland on Saturday in the decisive Rugby World Cup match against Scotland at Stade de France. He’s played with all of Ireland’s nine other centurions, including John Hayes, who retired from internationals before O’Mahony’s debut in 2012. BALTIMORE (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles are starting Kyle Bradish in Game 1 of the AL Division Series against Texas and rookie Grayson Rodriguez in Game 2.The Rangers’ picture is a bit murkier.Texas still hadn’t announced a starter early Friday evening for a series opener that was beginning about 18 hours later. The Rangers used Jordan Montgomery and Nathan Eovaldi in their sweep of Tampa Bay in the Wild Card Series, which would seem to make Dane Dunning the likely starter to begin this matchup with Baltimore. The other big question for Texas right now is the health of Max Scherzer, who faced hitters Friday. The 39-year-old right-hander said he’ll have to see how he recovers Saturday.“I’m coming out of a shoulder problem here, and I’m learning what my shoulder can and can’t do,” Scherzer said. “So much of this battle, me getting back, has been in the recovery process from throwing. Obviously a positive sign to be able to go out there and throw again...Insurance claim denied for Denver music venue flooded by burst pipe
